Three zoning maps (Town of Wayland, Plan A and Plan B) on one page: Town of Wayland, Massachusetts map showing entire town zoned as a single residence district except as shown on Plans A & B. Plan A- showing Wayland Center proposed by the Zoning Committee, Plan B- Cochituate Village showing zoning. "This is the zoning plan referred to in our report on zoning, published in the Wayland Town Report for the year ending Dec. 31, 1933." Both plans A and B show public buildings, churches, and business zoning areas. The entire residential plan for the Town includes the water wells, old town pound, neighborhood names, waterways, meadow boundaries, railroad stations, playgrounds, and the Weston Aqueduct.

Photostat of the map of East Sudbury by Mattias Mosman, Surveyor. Included is the transcript of information provided on the map. It identifies the bridges, who is responsible for their maintenance, the distance to Boston and Cambridge, the ponds by size, streams, mills, the boundaries of the town by degrees and the first roads or paths within the town. The boundaries are noted as they were previously done by others - name and date of other surveys are provided. Gives direction and length of the Sudbury River as it travels the boundary of East Sudbury (now Wayland) Massachusetts. The original is housed at the Massachusetts State Archives (#1181 on page 28.)

Wayland Conservation Lands

The Conservation Commission of wrote a description of several conservation areas on April 1, 1976. The areas described are: Castle Hill, Old Cow Common, Heard Farm, Richardson (Pod Meadow), Dudley Brook, Plimpton, Upper Mill Brook, Cooper/Hulbert, Bertelsen parcel, Pine Brook, Snake Brook/Hamlin Woods, and Timberlane. Often the history of the each area is provided as well as to what can be viewed and enjoyed. On the other side of the sheet is a full length road and topographical map showing the locations of the 12 conservation areas. It also shows Sudbury Valley Trustees properties. Each of the 12 individual maps show parking and the trails at the location.

Wayland Waterworks distribution system

Constructed at the bequest of the will of Jonathan M. Parmenter, late of Wayland, Mass. Harvard Trust Co. Cambridge, Mass. trustee. Boston, Mass. Hydraulic Development Co. Engineers, 1927. First unnumbered sheet is an index to the maps. The plan shows pumping stations and their depth, the make of the gates and hydrants, the classes of cast iron pipes, the number of feet laid, and the size of the pipe. Side sections of the wells are shown. Included are the Gate cards with detail description of the pump and pipes used. Private property next to the pumping stations are identified.
