Picture of the old library building. Occupied by the Tufts Library from Oct. 1879 - Oct. 1892. It was moved to Commercial St. in May, 1891, but was still used for literary purposes until the new building was ready. The new building was opened for delivery of books Oct. 6, 1892. Caroline A. Blanchard, the first librarian.
