There are eight in the church choir; the first four to the right, seated in stalls, have short candles in their hands; the others are standing; one of them turns the page of a missal placed on a lectern and lights it with a long lamp with two burners. The picture hung above the stalls has received much work, but nothing further has been done in the composition. The background to the left has been reworked and there have been additional heavy lines added in background between the 2nd and 3rd man, from the right. The shape of the flame of the candle held by the man at the far right has been altered. Note the mended hole in the print between the two flames of the lamp.

There are eight in the church choir; the first four to the right, seated in stalls, have short candles in their hands; the others are standing; one of them turns the page of a missal placed on a lectern and lights it with a long lamp with two burners. This plate dates from as early, at least, as 1865, for a proof was shown at the R.A. exhibition that year. Note the work on the middle part of lamp has been reduced.

The signature barely shows.

The signature "A. Legros" barely stands out in the shadow, in the lower right corner of the plate - this is a new signature. The lower formerly centering the inscription has been reworked with etching. The nave at the right of plate has been covered with light cross-hatching.
