In the shape of a knee-high boot with tassle hanging from front, rotating brass spur at heel. Lid on top, hinged at back. Interior appears to have compartment for recessed pencil. Striker on sole of boot at bottom.
Small repeating clusters of flowers in horizontal repeat. At top and bottom are two narrow black lines. There is a possibility that this wallpaper came from the Jeremiah Lee Mansion, Marblehead, Massachusetts. Printed in yellow, red, green and black on gray ground.
Design consists of two bands of varied patterns. The upper band a rinceau with floral medallions and vine tendrils; stripes mark the upper and lower boundaries. The lower band contains a lattice-like pattern of undulating lines with three petals in each outer bay; printed in greens, grays, and white on a polished pastel green ground.
Narrow border containing a continuous Greek key motif. Printed in tan, darker tan, burgundy flock and metallic gold. This object is in two pieces, joined on the verso by gummed glassine.
