Oblong, rounded corners, curved sides, featuring raised decoration of 2 stacked globes, the top inscribed "World's Columbian", the bottom inscribed "Exposition 1892", both set against foliate backdrop of oak and laurel leaves. Reverse features oblong wreath of oak and laurel leaves on unadorned background. Lid hinged on side. Striker recessed in groove on bottom.
