Mortimer notes that Giulio Bonasone's engravings after Prospero Fontana and Parmigianino are repeated from the 1st edition of 1555 except for number 36 which is a copy. Agostino Carracci may have engraved number 1, which in the 1555 edition is a woodcut; he retouched the others, the occurrence of first and second states varying from copy to copy; Signatures: [dagger]4, b-f4, A-Yy4 (Yy4 blank); Includes index; Notes on the work by previous owner in mss throughout; Prof. Held's notes and photograph of p.LXIII removed and placed in envelope; Quarterbound in leather, marbled paper over boards; Mortimer, R.
