Commonplace book kept by Joshua Bowles, Boston, Mass., comprising spiritual musings and family vital records. Also an original letter (1850) from Mary W. Chapin to the Rev. J. B. Condit, Newark, New Jersey, admitting Amelia Bowles to Mt. Holyoke Seminary, South Hadley, Mass. and a photocopy of artillery orders (1810) to John Bowles III, Hartford, Connecticut.
