Document source description

J.S. Stafford writes to Samuel May telling him that the abolitionists of Cummington have decided to hold a meeting, declaring, "let the appoitnment in the Liberator stand - let our friends Burleigh & Miss Stone come on - they will be welcomed by all true Abolitionists." Stafford sends May some money to pay for the postage for his last letter and advises Burleigh and Stone to travel to Northampton "on Thursday by the first train from Boston," where a team will meet them and take them to Cummington. He tells May, "it is the lot of Abolitionists to work, work, and nothing surprises me more than the willingness, and determination, manifested in our Teachers, to continue to work."
