Source Description
Austin Bearse writes to Samuel May asking about May's "soul" since he "did not say any thing a Bout that and Broth[er] Walcutt and my self come to the conclusion that you was a getting down." Bearse says he fears May would "run a away as Jonah did" and get swallowed by a whale which would "spew you out on Cape Cod ..." He says that "Broth[er] Thomas Russell has just come in and joyns with me in a concern for your Soule." Bearse then tells May that their conferences "have Been few and far Between like angels vuisets" and he "will think that I have wrote a mess of Nonsense especially in these times that tries men soules."
