Letter from Frederick Douglass, Belfast [Ireland], to Richard Davis Webb, 6th, December 1845
Frederick Douglass says he thinks he should stay in Belfast longer than planned to make a real impact, and asks Webb to release him from the Birmingham engagement. The morning’s paper “took a favorable notice” of his meeting of the previous night, and “a deep interest seems to be excited.”
