May (Recipient), Samuel May Jr. (Writer) expresses his increasing interests in emancipation, but explains why he is unable to make “a definite decision” on “the point of the immediate, general, total emancipation of all our slaves.” Then he moves on to report on a gathering at Athol, and to ask for more pamphlets to distribute.
