Letter from Lawson Kingsbury, Framingham, to Amos Augustus Phelps and Elizur Wright, Ap. 14th. 1840
In this letter, Lawson Kingsbury says Mr. Cobb’s lecture in Framingham was good although poorly attended due to weather. He say it was something needed for the town, where the abolitionist society is “little better than dead.” He then goes on discussing abolitionism in his area in length.
