        "William Lloyd Garrison says there was a snowstorm in Meadville. He spoke at a small meeting in the Unitarian church. He describes Meadville as being a town of eight or nine thousand and not far from the famous oil regions. He stayed at the home of Joshua Douglas, where he was hospitably entertained. He complains of the lack of illumination in the halls where he has spoken. He is troubled by the looseness of his false teeth. He bought some clothes. His hotel and traveling expenses are high. In Cleveland, he hopes to be able to send William Lloyd Garrison Jr. some money.",
