        "William Lloyd Garrison did not receive Mrs. Garrison's letters until this afternoon because he was out last night visiting Thomas Davis. William L. Garrison does not think that Dr. Dow's electrical treatment has helped his arm and that the injury may trouble him the rest of his life. He describes Thomas Davis's house. He had tea with William and Mary Townsend. Garrison gives family news. Charlotte Anthony went to the Capitol and heard the debate on President Johnson's last veto. The weather has been warm and sultry in Washington. There has been a slight snowfall in Providence. William Lloyd Garrison discusses Mrs. Garrison's return to Providence for further treatment by Dr. Dow. Garrison talks about repairs to his house."
