Letter from Samuel May, Leicester, Mass., to Richard Davis Webb, Aug. 5, 1856
May tells Webb that he is planning to go on a tour through Pennsylvania. He describes [William Shreve] Bailey, the editor of the Kentucky journal, "The Newport News." He says that he thinks Parker Pillsbury would be the best foreign agent for the American Anti-Slavery Society. He describes Charles King Whipple.
