May asserts that the smaller local fairs will be continued. May mentions Webb's son, who went to Australia, and speaks of his own son, who went to Ceylon. He reports that Anne Warren Weston has gone to visit her uncle, Joshua Bates, in London. May discusses William Henry Channing's association with Frederick Douglass and says that Samuel Joseph May reports that George Thompson is sick and destitute. May hopes for a revival of the Anti-Slavery League and lists a possible nucleus of members.
