Letter from George Russell, [Kingston], to Amos Augustus Phelps, July 9. 1838

In this letter to Amos A. Phelps, George Russell states that he feels “some difficulties” working for the Massachusetts Anti-Slavery Society. He says he does not agree with William Lloyd Garrison’s views on the Sabbath, women’s role in abolitionism, and the ministry.
