James Bradley describes his personal journey from slavery to freedom that brought him to his current situation at Lane Seminary. Theodore Weld explains that Bradley was called away before he was able to finish copying his letter from the first draft. Weld completes this letter for him.
On page three, Theodore Weld writes a letter to Child explaining his association with Bradley and verifies the authenticity of Bradley's slavery narrative.
