Source Description

An Italian didactic poem, based on a 13th-century model variously attributed to the Savio Romano (Wise Man of Rome) or to the Schiavo di Bari. It consists of ethical maxims couched as paternal advice and circulated in Italian dialects and in a Latin translation. Fol. 11 begins a prose work of unknown authorship comprised of devotional meditations and preparation for death.
