Source Description
Draft of a letter thanking Mr. Turner for a tierce of sugar, stating that he understands that Mr. Turner desires to have his name inserted in the college catalogue as of the year when his class graduated, mentioning cases in which this has been done under similar circumstances, directing him how to proceed toward that end, offering his services in the matter, and mentioning that after he has received his degree, a barrel of sugar would probably be as acceptable to the president, who has a large family to maintain, as to the writer, who is a single person, and that any natural curiosities or varieties that the island of Antigua affords, or a present of books, would not only be a testimony of his esteem for the college, but entitle him to have his name enrolled among its benefactors, etc
