    "description": "Instructing her on sending his letters to \"Comitato di Difensa\" \"[i.e. Sacco-Vanzetti Defense Committee (Boston)], and discussing a possible misunderstanding between her and a protestant minister, related religious matters and his own beliefs. Translation: He received her letter of 13 January 1921. Please send the letters he wrote in prison to the Committee. He is fine. He gives very specific instructions as to how his letters are to be sent, e.g. in the presence of someone else, registered, etc. “Don’t be worried about this request. He gives her the address of Aldino Felicani, 32-34 Battery Street. Talks about the person he thinks came to see her [presumably to find out about him], he is sorry that he cannot spare her such visits. She wrote in a letter that she didn’t think that Protestants were Christians, he chides her on this. He explains that, on the contrary, according to Protestants, they are more Christian than Catholics. “My own faith is too broad to be encompassed within one religion. He then continues to explain his own beliefs. He speaks of the need to arouse public opinion. He is amused at her idea of causing agitation in Villafalletto, “where they get excited once every four years. He reassures her not to worry about this. He would have preferred her to stand up as proudly as his friends in America, declaring his innocence, but “...I’m sure of your good intentions and esteem. ...P.S.
