Source Description

This large platter with grape and floral decoration, which is different from small stem cups decorated with dragons, <a href="http://www.cma.org/art/1957.60"><u>CMA 1957.60</u></a> and <a href="http://www.cma.org/art/1964.168"><u>CMA 1964.168</u></a>, was made primarily for export to southeastern and western Asia. However, a similar example bearing the Xuande reign mark has also been excavated from the Ming imperial kilns at Jingdezhen.
