Tsuba with Peacock and Peahen among Peonies

On the right of the tsuba is a peacock sitting in a peony tree. His head is turned towards the left, where there is a peahen and another peony. On the reverse is a peony tree near a brook. Peacocks and peony are frequently depicted together in Japanese painting.
