Kozuka with Buddha

late 19th century (Meiji) H: 8 3/16 in. (20.8 cm) Citation Source image

The figure on the kozuka is a standing Buddha. The wheel behind his head, in place of the usual aureole, probably symbolizes the wheel of the law. This might be Amida Buddha. This is part of a mounted set.
