Source Description
This autumn theme shows seasonal plants alongside a bamboo basket filled with stones under a full moon. Baskets of this type were used for erosion control along river banks, so the image also invokes water. The reverse side continues the botanical theme. Autumn is the traditional season of moon viewing, and this tsuba evokes the quiet of an autumn night.
