In this type of ring the scarab bezel is fastened by passing the ends of the bronze hoop, pulled out into fine wire, through the perforation, and twisting them around the hoop on the opposite side. The face of the glazed steatite scarab is decorated with a stylized head of the cow-eared goddess Hathor under a cartouche of King Thutmosis III.
