This intaglio depicts the god Pataikos standing on crocodiles and flanked by the goddesses Isis and Nephthys. Above the figures is a head of Hathor with a winged sun-disk. The reverse shows an ouroboros (a snake eating its own tail) encircling a scarab beetle and the magical "soroor-logos" inscription. Gems with magical icons and words were believed to be protective.
