1920s Overall: 7/8 in. (2.3 cm) Citation Source image

This cast gold ring showing a mermaid embracing a satyr as well as a resting cupid is said to illustrate P. B. Shelley's poem "Love's Philosophy." The sculptor modeled the ring in wax and cast it using a suction pump to draw the molten gold into the mold.
