Shipping and port scenes were popular decorations for the reserves of Sèvres porcelain. A floral arrangement with grapes appears on the “back” of the piece.Dark blue ground with rectangular and circular panels with flowers and a shipping scene, which is signed, "D.G. 1779."This vase might be part of the set sold to the duchesse de Mazarin in 1779.
