Spear for the Guard of Emperor Ferdinand I

This spear is one of the ceremonial staff weapons carried by the lieutenants of Holy Roman Emperor Ferdinand I (1503-64) at his coronation in 1558. He was the father of Emperor Maximilian II and grandfather of Archduke Albert.
