Source Description
Made in ancient Amisos (present-day Samsun) along the Black Sea coast of Asia Minor, the relief is a rare example of a multi-figured terracotta group and may well have been inspired by a work in another medium. The child on the right mimics the pose of the famous statue of the "Weary Heracles" (Archaeological Museum, Naples, Italy).
