Figurine of an Officer

ca. 1600 (Baroque) 5 1/4 in. (13.4 cm) Citation Source image

The appeal of this figurine for a collector around 1600 was surely as a showy demonstration of the variety of precious materials that a jeweler could combine in one small display piece. Though the base is of the same period, it was designed for a different figure.
