    "description": "At the left of the composition is a large sake cup standing on its edge. Peaking out from behind is a shôjô. Shôjô are monkey-like creatures with human faces who usually live near water. They are fond of drinking sake, which probably accounts for their red faces. The matching fuchi (Walters 51.988) shows the sake barrel. The wave pattern on the shôjô's garment is also repeated in the ladle on the fuchi.",
