Intaglio with Nike Holding a Lyre Set in a Ring

This intaglio shows Nike holding a lyre. The gold hoop of the ring is rounded on the outer face and flat on the inside. The shoulder is sloping and flared at the top with the edges of the bezel turned in to secure the stone, a convex garnet.
