Kozuka with a Demon and a Thatched Hut
At the left of this composition, a demon ("oni") is seated on the ground. He appears to be removing a thorn from his foot. Near him on the right are a hut and a tree. Demons regularly appear in Japanese art and are often depicted in a humorous fashion.
