Document source description

This miniature has the initials "R.C." at lower left, but this may have been added at a later date, and the miniature it is not thought to be by the famous Richard Cosway, although it appears to date from ca. 1800. Reverse: oval of blue guilloche enamel around fabric oval that perhaps once contained a lock of hair. Glazed.
