Kogai with Floral Scroll and Diamond Crests

mid-late 19th century (Muromachi-late Edo-Meiji) L: 6 3/4 in. (17.1 cm) Citation Source image

The kogai is decorated with a diamond crest ("mon") and a floral scroll pattern. This crest was used by multiple warrior clans. It could have indicated the owner of the set or could have been commissioned by a member of that clan as a gift. This is part of a mounted set.
