Document source description
The charka's decoration is representative of Rückert's early style of painted filigree enamel. Both its interior and exterior surfaces are covered with pastel colored vines and Usolsk-type blossoms over a creamy orange ground. On the interior walls, within a pattern of vines, a standing boyar is flanked by two ferocious birds, and, in the center, a griffin tramples a serpent.
