Source Description
The courtesan Umegawa holds a roll of paper given to her by her lover's father. Her lover Chubei has taken her to his home town, but when they see Chubei's father fall down, only Umegawa is willing to lend a helping hand. When she asks the old man for some of the paper he uses to mend his sandal, he realizes that Umegawa must be his son's betrothed.
