We are writing to the State Department, supporting your application
and requesting that the passport be sent to us so that we may obtain &
British visa for you here in Washington, after which we will return the
paseport to you. There may be some delay in obtaining passports until
we know just what boat we will be sailing on. DO do not be disturbed if
you fail to receive yours shortly after application has been riled.
We would like to have the following informations your full name;

age; religion; name and address of your nearest relative, stating relation-
ship; and the name and address of the person or bank to which you wish to
have your salary paid while you are in England. These salary checks will
be paid the first of the month automatically and will be Less dedictions on
a drawing account for personal expenses in England. Your fami/ly will be
notified of your arrival there and it is the present intention of Harvard
university to issue a momthly report to them. Mail may be sent to the
American Red Cross Headquarters, London, England. It will be forwarded
to
us from theer.

employer, it will be quite alright to siscuss your appointment to the
