My dear Mrs. Baker: Your application has been held in this office pending your membership in an organization affiliated with the American Nurses' Association. Realizing the difficulty in having applications for membership acted upon promptly, and in view of your willingness to accept service, I an sending out your appoint- ment card and badge by separate mail, hoping that later you will meet this requirement. If so, will you be good enough to notify this office, so that we may make note of the fact in your appli- cation.
