I regret to tell you that though you have done
your utmost toward our request for fifty nurses, the
results at present are most discouraging. Four nurses
have applied and the papers of three of these have been
completed but of these, two were rejectedfor physical

reasons, one has been accepted. We recognize, of
course, that the stumbling block is the pay.
