    "ocrText": "B\n?\n+\nto\n5\na\na\nMarch 7, 1941\n3\nMiss Ida Maude Britton,\nTrumbull, Nebraska\n........\nMy dear Miss Britton:\nI am sorry our letter did not riach you in time to prevent\nyou from tendering your resignation so soon. Now the gäing to\ndecide is which would be better for you, private duty or general f\nfloor duty.\nPrivate duty would be nice if you were sure of being kept\nbusy. You could live at home and have that much more time with\nyour people, but you would have to pay a registration fee to cover\nsix months, would you not? By doing general duty you would be\noccupied all the time and have no such fee to pay, but could you\nbe released at short notice if need be?\nIt is possible that a small group will go over before the\nlarger group in June and we can probably include you in that small\ngroup. Will you let us know by return mail what you are able to do,\nbecause if you have any difficulty, we may be able to place you\nsomewhère.\nThe possibility of a June sailing is the most definite thing\nwe have had yet. our hospital buildings and equipment are now\nmoving and it is by the schedule given for this that we are better\nable to judge the time of sailing for the greater part of the nursing\nstaff.\nThe enclosed yellow form, 615 A, is a report required by all new\nAmerican Red Cross employees and is riled in another department; hency\nthe necessity for asking you to answer questions most of which you have with\nreceipted bills the cost of your immunization and x-ray and also passport\nalready answered. Will you submit on the enclosed expense voucher\nfee and cost of passport pi tures so that you may be reimbursed. Enclosed\nyou will rind instructions regarding payment of salary, etc. We would\nappreciate an early return of these two forms."
