Dear Miss Madley,
Thank you for the autographed Red Cross calendar - it means a great deal to me.
And thank you, also, for the information I recently received. I shall assemble
the necessary things asssoon as possible, so as to be ready "at a minute's notice" if
needs be. I am continuing in my present osition, as you advise, until I hear from you
again. Miss Lewis, our Directress of Nurses, is very co-operative.
However, the words of President Roosevelt on Sunday evening, which I personally
heartily endorse, filled me with an intense desire to go immediately. Where the
greatest need is, that's where I would prefer to be.
But I shall do my best to be patient until the time comes.
