Z C o P Y M M MAYO DENTAL CLINIC as OFFICES: Dr. H.L. Mayo Fort Worth, Texas and associates Dallas, Texas Mrs. O.K. Mayo e Amarillo, Texas Business Mgr. M March 15,1927 B (Margaret) Mi SS Margruette McLean, Red Cross Hdqts. Fort Worth, Texas. Dear Miss McLean: Per your request I here with submit the following statement for your inf ormation and use as you see fit: Mrs. Marie Rhodes Cash was employed by Mayo Bros., at their Fort Worth office, from November 1924 to June 1925, and after I personally took over the management of the office for them there was so many complaints from patients of the 53 treatment received by them from her I let her go, and then I begin to find out about the 0 shortages that I mentioned to you. Not only did she check on the firms funds to pay her a own personal accounts and fail to charge herself with the items, she would also make col- lections on contracts per the enclosed and would not show any money collected but would show that the patient had consultation only and we do not learn of these unless the pa- tient returns to the office for adjustment and brings their contracts, the four enclosed were handled that way by her and the shortage we have learned about in this manner amounts to several hundred dollars, and there is other contracts and papers of this kind in the hands of the Attorney's that was handling the case which can be seen by any one interest- ed. We have checks that she gave in payment of her personal debts with notation on them what the payment was for and the checks were never charged to her account, she was able to do these things by the fact that she had charge of the books and the bank account. And we really will never know just what her shortage is as of course all of the patients 6 will not have trouble and will have no reason to report to us. W Hoping this will be of assistance to you and that it will serve the purpose for which it is given, Yours very truly, Mrs. O.K. Mayo,
