My dear miss Francis:- Fardon my not answering your note of March 4th sooner but I Have not heen well. There are family complications which would make it impossible for me to take up any definite line of work, even if I felt inclined to do so, which I do not. After four years of continuous work which was at all times, & especially during the last year, very trying. I feel the need of an indefinite rest.
