Miss Mary P. Commins,
St. John's Hospital,
St. Louis, Mo.
e
My dear Miss Commins:
We are glad to find that you meet the requirements for
enrollment as a Red Cross nurse. This means that you are a
graduate of an accredited school of nursing connected with
a hospital caring for a minimum daily average of fifty
patients, or in event of your having graduated from a Small
school, you have supplemented your training by affiliation
or by postgraduate courses; you are registered; e member
of the American Nurses' Association and a citizen of the
United States.
It, therefore, gives us pleasure to accept your appli-
cation and we are mailing your appointment card and badge,
No. 69,426 to you under separate cover. Will you please acknow-
ledge receipt of these credentials on the postal card which
accompanies them and for verification kindly give your number.
It is important that you keep us informed of any change
you may make in your name or in your address, in order that
we may be aware of your whereabouts in event of en opportunity
for service under the Red Cross.
Each year a report form will reach you from the Local
Committee with which you are enrolled. This should be returned
promptly as failure to do so for two consecutive years places
you in the Third Reserve which is an inactive status.
Sincerely yours,
the
National Committee,
Log,
08
Red Cross Nursing Service.
