ABOUT PEOPLE YOU KNOW.
"Mrs. Dorothy W. Conrad(Presbyterian, New York; B.S. Teachers College, Columbia;
M.A.', University of Denver) has been appointed deputy director of the Américan Rec C Gast
Red Cross Nursing Service. Mrs. Conrad went to the Red Cross in July 1942 as
assistant director of the Nursing Service, serving first as associate in recruitment
and enrollment and then as liaison with the area offices. She has had public health
nursing-experience in Puerto Rico and with the Denver Visiting Nurse Association; as
consultant with the Adult Education Council, Denver Colo.: and as research director
and consultant with the University of Denver and City and County of Denver, and National
Resources Planning Board, Denver, Colorado. Before going to the Red Cross she served as
