Dear Miss Delano:-
Please mefer to my physical
examination sheet forwarded to you February 26th.
I have been a Red Cross Nurse for four years, have
practiced the profession for fifteen years, having
been graduated from the Missouri Baptist Sanatar-
ium of St. Louis.
I am anxious to join a Red Cross Unit prepar-
ing to go to the Front. Such a Unit is leaving
Little Rock now short two nurses of its quota.
I have hoped to receive notice of passing the
physical examination in time to go with this Unit,
but I have not heard.
I am of French parentage, and speak French
fluently. It occurs to me that knowledge of the
French language would be very convenient to the
Corps.
If there is anything you can do to help me
into a Unit, I will appreciate it greatly.
Arrangements were well under way for my going with
a St. Louis Unit last year, but illness prevented
