Mrs. E. Vaughan, Asting Director, Bureau of Field Nursing.
Your letter of January 2nd and also a letter from Ella C. Coquard - #5,348
are at hand. We find that Miss Coquard was sent to France, but returned
without being given any service. The nurse in charge thought that it would
not be possible for her to do the work that she would be expected to do,
and therefore. without giving her any trial returned her to this country.
It doemsnot seem that Miss Coquardind a square deal, and if there is anything
that you dan do to help her we would appreciate it.
